The “POD”

This 12x12 “POD” was a prototype for a prefabrication modular building system which started percolating after Hurricane Katrina and the housing shortage that followed. Featured in the Tucson Parade of Homes, it utilized low cost, long lasting materials such as redwood fence slats, Concrete board, factory flooring drops, and cold rolled steel.  With AC, WIFI and a fold out, it was an office, a creative space, and a perfect landing spot for out of town guests.
