“Tucker” Kensington, Philly
This row home was under 600sqft and quite a challenge to make work. With multiple calls to city inspectors about code compliance, the responses were always the same: “It’s fine, none of these old Philly houses meet square footage code compliance. Do the best you can.” Some space saving features include a drop down table under the stairs, basement access trap door and barn doors for the bedrooms to eliminate door swing footage.
This little beauty was written up in “Curbed” Philadelphia and a real estate agent listing the home years after our remodel reached out to us complimenting that the home and all the details still looked new and fresh.
